Abstract
The proposed research is a continuation of the research objectives implemented since 2000 by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Management of the University of Ioannina and is continued by the School of Science and Technology of the Hellenic Open University in the field of the reuse of Treated Wastewater (TWW). The role of the heavy metal content of soils in the determination of the soil pollution indices has already been studied, a decisive factor in their assessment. In order to determine the these indices more precisely, it is required to investigate the factors that directly affect the bioavailability of heavy metals accumulated in the soil due to the reuse of both TWW and biosolids
